VISA OVERVIEW

What Is the China C Visa?

The China Crew Visa (C Visa) is required for foreign seafarers and transport crew members entering China to join or leave a vessel, aircraft, or other means of international transport. Valid for a single entry up to 90 days, it is based on port agent invitation and vessel schedule.

Applicable for crews at Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dalian, or Tianjin ports — the visa must be secured before arrival in China.

EXEMPTION NOTE

Crew who only transit at airports for less than 24 hours without entering China do not require this visa.

→ Valid Passport (6+ months minimum)
→ Seaman's Book / CDC
→ Shipping Company Letter of Guarantee
→ Invitation Letter from Chinese Port Agent (Foreign Affairs Office approved)
